1. About the Journal

The International Journal for Gynecology and Pediatrics Research (IJGPR) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the publication of high-quality scientific research in gynecology, obstetrics, pediatrics, neonatology, reproductive health, maternal and child health, and related biomedical and clinical disciplines.

IJGPR aims to provide a scholarly platform for clinicians, researchers, academicians, healthcare professionals, and scientists to disseminate original findings, clinical observations, systematic evidence, and advances that contribute to improving women's, maternal, neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent health.

The journal welcomes original and clinically relevant research covering all aspects of Gynecology, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Neonatology, Reproductive Medicine, and Maternal & Child Health.

IJGPR expects authors, reviewers, and editors to maintain high standards of scientific and publication integrity.

Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, inappropriate image manipulation, duplicate publication, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and other forms of research misconduct are not acceptable.

5. Manuscript Preparation

Language

Manuscripts should be written in clear and professional English.

Authors are responsible for ensuring appropriate grammar, scientific terminology, and clarity before submission.

Manuscripts should preferably be submitted in:

Font: Times New Roman
Font Size: 12 pt
Line Spacing: 1.5
Margins: 1 inch on all sides
Page Numbers: Recommended
Abbreviations: Define at first use

6. Manuscript Structure

6.1 Title Page

The title page should contain:

Full manuscript title
Full names of all authors
Institutional affiliations
Department
City and country
ORCID IDs, where available
Corresponding author's name
Corresponding author's email address
Contact number
Funding information
Conflict of Interest declaration

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately represent the study.

6.2 Abstract

Original research articles should preferably include a structured abstract of up to 250 words.

Recommended headings:

Conclusion

For manuscript types where a structured abstract is inappropriate, an unstructured abstract may be accepted.

Keywords

Authors should provide approximately 3–8 keywords immediately after the abstract.

8. Ethical Requirements

Research involving human participants must comply with applicable ethical standards and the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki.

Authors should provide, where applicable:

Name of the Institutional Ethics Committee/Institutional Review Board
Ethics approval/reference number
Date of approval, where available
Statement regarding informed consent
Patient consent for publication where identifiable clinical information or images are presented

For retrospective studies where consent or ethical approval has been waived, the manuscript should clearly state the waiver and the authority granting it.

Animal Research

Studies involving animals should include:

Institutional Animal Ethics Committee approval
Approval/reference number
Statement regarding compliance with applicable animal welfare standards

Clinical Trials

Prospective clinical trials should provide an appropriate trial registration number and registry information where required.

9. Patient Privacy and Consent

Authors must protect patient confidentiality.

Names, hospital identification numbers, facial features, or other information that could identify an individual should not be published unless scientifically necessary and appropriate written consent for publication has been obtained.

For case reports and identifiable clinical images, authors should obtain appropriate patient or guardian consent before submission.

For pediatric patients, consent requirements should be fulfilled through the parent or legally authorized guardian as applicable.

10. Plagiarism and Originality Policy

All manuscripts submitted to IJGPR should represent original scholarly work.

Submissions may undergo similarity screening before or during editorial evaluation.

As a journal policy:

Overall similarity should normally be ≤10%, excluding references and unavoidable standard methodological terminology.
Excessive similarity from a single source should be avoided.
Manuscripts with inappropriate text duplication may be returned for correction or rejected.
Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication are prohibited.

Similarity percentages are used as screening indicators and do not replace editorial assessment of the nature and context of any textual overlap.

11. Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

Generative artificial intelligence and AI-assisted technologies may be used responsibly for purposes such as language improvement, grammar correction, or formatting.

However:

AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
Authors remain fully accountable for the accuracy and integrity of their manuscript.
AI-generated references or factual statements must be independently verified.
Confidential manuscript, patient, or research data should not be improperly disclosed to external AI systems.
Substantial use of generative AI in manuscript preparation should be transparently disclosed where appropriate.

AI tools must not replace human responsibility for scientific interpretation, authorship, or research integrity.

12. Figures and Images

Figures should be clear and suitable for publication.

Recommended requirements:

Minimum resolution: 300 dpi
Preferred formats: TIFF, PNG, or JPEG
Figures should be numbered consecutively
Each figure should have an appropriate legend
Figure citations should appear in numerical order in the manuscript

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce previously published copyrighted material.

Clinical photographs must comply with patient privacy and consent requirements.

13. Tables

Tables should:

Be provided in editable format
Be numbered consecutively
Have a clear and concise title
Include explanatory footnotes where necessary
Be cited sequentially within the manuscript

Avoid submitting tables solely as images where editable versions can reasonably be provided.

14. References

IJGPR recommends the Vancouver referencing style.

References should be numbered according to their first appearance in the manuscript.

Authors should:

Verify every reference before submission.
Ensure that references cited in the text appear in the reference list.
Provide DOI numbers whenever available.
Avoid inaccurate, unverifiable, or fabricated references.
Prefer relevant primary and peer-reviewed scientific literature where appropriate.

15. Reporting Guidelines

Authors should use the reporting guideline appropriate to their study design whenever applicable.

Authors may be requested to provide the relevant reporting checklist during editorial assessment.

IJGPR follows a double-blind peer-review process, with reviewer and author identities concealed from one another as far as practicable.

17. Editorial Decisions

Following editorial assessment and peer review, manuscripts may receive one of the following decisions:

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

18. Conflict of Interest

All authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that could reasonably be perceived as influencing the research.

If no conflict exists, authors may state:

“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

19. Funding Statement

All sources of financial support should be disclosed.

If the study received no specific funding, authors may state:

“This research received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.”

Authors should describe their individual contributions to the work.

22. Copyright

Authors retain copyright unless otherwise specified in the applicable publishing agreement.

Following acceptance, authors grant the journal/publisher the rights necessary to publish, distribute, archive, and disseminate the article according to the journal's publishing and open-access policies.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted material does not infringe third-party copyright.

23. Open Access Policy

The International Journal for Gynecology and Pediatrics Research (IJGPR) operates under an open-access publishing model.

Published articles are made freely accessible online to support the dissemination and exchange of scientific and clinical knowledge.

The applicable license and reuse conditions should be displayed with each published article.

24. Corrections, Retractions, and Editorial Actions
